Accessibility Statement
Bridgewell Advisory is committed to ensuring our website and publications are accessible to the widest possible audience. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Standards & Scope
- Primary standard: WCAG 2.1 AA
- Applies to: public website pages (HTML), downloadable PDFs we publish, and core navigation components.
- Exclusions: third-party embeds and linked documents not authored by Bridgewell (see “Third-Party Content”).
What We’ve Implemented
- Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements; visible focus states; skip-to-content link.
- Semantic HTML with meaningful headings, landmarks (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>), and labels.
- Color contrast targeting WCAG AA for text and interactive controls.
- Text alternatives (alt text) for images and descriptive titles for links where needed.
- Forms with associated labels, programmatic names, and helpful error messaging.
- ARIA used sparingly to supplement semantics (e.g., aria-label, roles) where appropriate.
- Responsive design for mobile and zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Motion & flashing: we avoid auto-playing, flashing, or seizure-risk content.
Known Limitations
- Some legacy PDFs may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will replace or provide tagged alternatives on request.
- Third-party embeds (e.g., documents, videos, or widgets) may not fully meet WCAG. See below for our mitigation approach.
Third-Party Content
Our site may link to documents or services hosted by third parties (e.g., research repositories, partner testimonials). We do not control their code or accessibility. When feasible, we provide an accessible alternative or summary.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
- Browsers: current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox.
- Screen readers: recent versions of NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver.
- Devices: desktop, tablet, and mobile. Content reflows and supports zoom up to 200%.

Ongoing Improvements
We review new pages and major updates for accessibility prior to release, and periodically audit existing content. Our roadmap includes converting older PDFs to tagged, accessible versions and expanding captions/transcripts for media.
